HE Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, received HE Dr. Rima Karami, Minister of Education and Higher Education of the Lebanese Republic, as part of an official visit aimed at strengthening aspects of educational cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and exploring opportunities for exchanging experiences in various educational fields.

The meeting addressed several shared educational topics, including strategic planning and development of educational policies and programs, digital transformation in educational administration and processes, educational supervision and evaluation mechanisms, quality assurance in basic and secondary education, and blended and distance learning. The two sides also discussed updates on the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Education of the Sultanate of Oman and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of the Lebanese Republic, the procedures for which are being finalized in preparation for its signing during the meetings of the joint Omani Lebanese committee.

During the visit, an expanded meeting was held with the attendance of Their Excellencies and Their Highnesses, the Undersecretaries of the Ministry, and specialists from both sides. During the meeting, the Lebanese side presented a presentation entitled “The Education Sector in the Lebanese Republic,” while the Sultanate of Oman presented a presentation entitled “School Education in the Sultanate of Oman and its Future Prospects.” The meeting was held in the Oman Meeting Hall.
