The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General for Curriculum Development, organized the seventh edition of the student visit program “In the Homeland ... Knowledge and Belonging”, which lasted for two days and included visits to the most important cultural landmarks in the Muscat Governorate and the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
The program aims to strengthen cooperation with educational and cultural institutions in the Sultanate of Oman, and to develop the values of citizenship education among students, by giving them the opportunity to learn about state institutions and the services and national achievements they provide. The program also seeks to open channels of dialogue between students and those concerned in the national institutions proposed to be visited, in a way that contributes to spreading the culture of constructive dialogue, consolidating national knowledge and information, and strengthening the values of belonging and loyalty to the homeland, in addition to introducing students to the achievements and efforts that have been made under the blessed Renaissance march.
The program targets tenth and eleventh grade students from the governorates of Dhofar, Musandam, Al Buraimi and Al Wusta, within an integrated plan that includes conducting field visits to a number of relevant institutions in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
