The Ministry of Education, represented by the Department of Educational Studies and International Cooperation, in cooperation with Nanjing Technological University (NTU) in the Republic of Singapore, is participating in the Leaders in International Education Program for the year 2025. Six school principals from the educational departments of the governorates of North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, South Al Sharqiyah, and Al Dhahirah are participating, as are school administration supervisors from the Directorate-General of Supervision and from the Education Department of Al Dhahirah Governorate, at the National Institute of Education affiliated with the university.
The program includes a series of educational lectures, training workshops, and field visits to educational institutions and a number of schools to attend educational classes and review some school administration systems. This is part of the efforts to develop the leadership and administrative skills of school principals and supervisors in the school administration sector.
An advanced development program aimed at preparing educational leaders, particularly school principals and their deputies, to enhance their leadership and management skills to drive innovation and progress in educational institutions. It is also a unique initiative, as it provides a significant opportunity for participants, allowing them to learn about new developments in school administration and connect with their peers from different educational systems. This program helps them understand the difficulties and modern challenges facing educational systems and how to address and deal with them.
The program aims to familiarize trainees with the latest developments in school administration, teach them how to manage schools in the current era of rapid and unpredictable changes, gain firsthand experience through school visits, and learn from their own experiences in providing educational services using innovative methods. It also aims to provide trainees with administrative experience through teamwork with peers from other educational systems, which helps them develop their skills through participation in an international learning environment and promotes international educational cooperation.
