The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Education, participated in the International Art Week 2025, held in Dunhuang, China, under the theme "Song of Peace." The event brings together artists, youth, teachers, and intellectuals from around the world, with the aim of promoting cultural dialogue and artistic creativity, integrating cultural heritage into educational curricula, and fostering understanding among peoples.
During the week's activities, students from Salalah Basic Education School for Boys presented a performance of the Omani art of "Al-Bar'ah," inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010 as a unique element of the Sultanate of Oman. This art embodies the spirit of chivalry, courage, generosity, and hospitality for which the people of Dhofar Governorate are famous.
This participation is an opportunity to highlight Oman's cultural richness on the international stage, enhance cooperation in the fields of education and culture, and support the Sultanate of Oman's cultural presence in international forums.
