The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Education and the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, is participating in the UNESCO Global Forum on Ethics in Artificial Intelligence 2025, which is currently being held in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 24-27, 2025.

The forum is a premier international platform for examining ethical governance frameworks for advanced technologies. The research paper presented by Ayoub bin Mohammed Al Balushi, a lecturer at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, was selected as one of the best papers participating in the scientific research seminar accompanying the forum. The research paper received an honorary award from the forum organizers, sponsored by Burapha University in Thailand, in recognition of its distinguished scientific originality and research vision that contributes to promoting ethical AI practices.

This honor reflects the Sultanate of Oman's active presence in global discussions on the future of artificial intelligence and underscores the commitment of Omani academic institutions to promoting responsible scientific research that keeps pace with international trends.
