Training Camp for Participation in the International Chemistry Olympiad

The Ministry of Education, represented by the Department of Innovation and Scientific Olympiad, has launched the central training camp for the national team participating in the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2025) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from July 5th to 14th, 2025. The five-days includes seven students from the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah, South Al Batinah, and Al ADhahirah, and is held at the Wyndham Garden Muscat Hotel.

The camp includes theoretical training in physical, analytical, organic, and inorganic chemistry, as well as practical training using preparatory questions approved by the organizing committee for this year's Olympiad, as well as questions from previous editions of an advanced scientific nature. This training program is supervised by specialized supervisors from the Ministry of Education, along with academics from several universities in the Sultanate of Oman, in a supportive and stimulating educational environment.

The training camp aims to prepare students to represent the Sultanate of Oman in international forums, promote cultural and scientific exchange with students from around the world, build national capacities of outstanding students in science, encourage a spirit of fair competition and teamwork, and achieve the goals of the International Chemistry Olympiad, which are to develop students' scientific capabilities, encourage analytical and creative thinking, promote international cooperation, and exchange educational experiences among participating countries.
