The Ministry of Education, represented by the Office of the Undersecretary for Education, in cooperation with the Professional Licensing Office for Teachers and the Arab Center for Educational Training for the Gulf States, organized a training program entitled "Managing Professional Licensing Operations for Teachers," which continues until May 29.
The opening ceremony was patronized by Dr. Suleiman Al-Jamudi, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Curriculum Development and a member of the Center's Board of Trustees, and attended by Dr. Mohammed Al-Amir, Head of Program Implementation and Evaluation at the Center. The ceremony was held at the Hormuz Hotel.
The program aims to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to apply the latest practices in managing professional licensing processes for teachers in the Sultanate of Oman.
The program includes 5 main topics distributed over several training sessions during the program days, and targets (24) participants from the Professional Licensing Office for Teachers and some employees of the supporting administrative divisions from the Ministry’s General Diwan, in addition to representatives of the Professional Licensing Office for Teachers in the educational directorates.
The program's sessions vary between face-to-face and remote training, using various training methods, such as brainstorming sessions, simulation sessions, and practical applications such as building scenarios, preparing procedural work manuals, and designing electronic paths, delivered by trainers specializing in the field.
The Ministry aims through implementing this program to enable participants to understand the foundations and systems of professional licensing, and enable them to manage professional licensing processes, digitize the professional licensing system, and apply quality standards, governance principles, and change management when implementing the professional licensing system in the Sultanate of Oman.
