On the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony, HE Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Khamis Ambosaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, honored the members of the Omani Curriculum Digitization Project team from various educational directorates in the governorates.

The book production process went through several stages, namely: the preparatory stage, in which the most important specifications and requirements for building digital content for school curricula are determined, followed by the analysis stage, which consists of reviewing the quality of digital content, discussing and modifying ideas, proposing alternatives in some content, and analyzing technical specifications, then moving to the scenario stage, which is concerned with reviewing, improving, and modifying them. Work in this stage takes (60) hours divided over two weeks for each book, then comes the digital output stage, which is after the ministry receives the interactive digital book. The team reviews all the scientific and technical details of all digital content, and the extent of the implementing company’s commitment to the specifications and requirements. The fifth stage consists of implementing the interactive books and employing them in a number of schools as a pilot phase to monitor observations and follow up on technical and artistic aspects for improvement and development to reach the best versions of the interactive digital book. The final phase is represented by making the interactive books available and publishing them to beneficiaries through the digital books page for Omani curricula via the educational technologies website in the educational portal, in addition to making them available later through the Noor system in the digital repository, as part of the digital transformation projects, in addition to following up on the use of the books, and continuous improvement and development, with the presence of media plans to highlight the digital books through various media outlets.

The Ministry aims, through the Omani Curriculum Digitization Project, to develop the content of the curricula and transform them into interactive digital content within the educational platform services. It also aims to provide various types of digital educational resources for all educational levels that are compatible with different learner styles. It also aims to enhance the digital transformation process in distance education through the use of information and communication technology in the field of teaching and learning, self-learning skills, and collaborative learning among students. The Ministry also aims to provide students with diverse experiences and knowledge related to future skills, contribute to improving and developing the quality of education, raise the level of academic achievement of students, and provide easy-to-use digital educational learning content that includes diversified teaching and assessment tools and methods.
