Ministry of Education holds Workshop on Electronic Information Security
The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Information Technology, in cooperation with CyberTek Company, conducted a workshop on "Electronic Information Security." The workshop targeted twenty employees from the directorate and was took place at the technical laboratory in the Ministry's General Diwan.
The workshop was presented by Ahmed Al Busaidi, a cybersecurity engineer at the company. It covered several topics, including an introduction to the company, an overview of cybersecurity, an explanation of the hacking lifecycle, how to access systems, an overview of the most common security vulnerabilities in web applications, practical exploitation of vulnerabilities, ways to avoid them, protection strategies, and security advice.
The seminar aims to raise awareness of the importance of understanding the methods and controls used in the systems process, as well as the information security framework, and to enrich the directorate's employees with the foundations, legislation, and regulations related to information security.
