A delegation of students from Omani schools affiliated with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), along with a number of teachers and supervisors, visits the Republic of Croatia from May 5 to 10. This visit is part of the international twinning program implemented by the Omani schools affiliated with UNESCO with their counterparts from the Republics of Croatia and Denmark, within the framework of enhancing cultural and educational exchange between countries. This visit follows the great success achieved by the similar visit of the Croatian educational delegation to the Sultanate of Oman last February.
This visit comes as a continuation of the "Transcontinental Cultural Heritage" project, implemented by the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science for the second year in a row, in partnership with schools from Croatia and Denmark. The project aims to enhance cultural dialogue and exchange experiences among students. Virtual meetings were organized during which students from Doha Al Adab Basic Education School (10-12) in Muscat Governorate, and Sohar Basic Education School (10-12) in North Al Batinah Governorate, discussed aspects of Omani heritage and learned about the cultures of Denmark and Croatia.
It is worth noting that this visit aims to deepen cooperation and knowledge exchange in the educational, cultural, and developmental fields, highlight Oman's message of spreading the values of peace and tolerance, and highlight the richness of its cultural heritage. This initiative is to continue for two years according to a well-thought-out plan to consolidate international partnerships, provide opportunities for students to discover global cultures, and promote common understanding.
