The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Special Education and Continuous Learning (Special Education Department), in collaboration with Royal Grammar School Guildford Muscat, organized a celebration on the occasion of the Gulf Learning Difficulties Day, which falls on May 3 of each year. The celebration targeted supervisors and teachers of learning difficulties in special education schools in both public and private schools, under the patronage of HH Sayyida Sharifa bint Khalid Al Said, and in the presence of department employees and school principals. The celebration took place at the Sayer Bader Al Sayer Sports Hall at the school.

Ruqaiya Al Harrasi, Assistant Director for Educational Affairs at the Department of Special Education, delivered a speech in which she said: "The Ministry of Education has made significant strides in supporting students with learning difficulties by developing educational programs, training specialized personnel, and strengthening cooperation with families and the local community. We pledge to continue on this path, with a team spirit and a firm belief that every student deserves a real opportunity to learn and excel."

This was followed by a welcoming segment presented by the students of the Intellectual School, followed by a show segment by the students of Sanaa Al-Elm Private School. After that, the patronage of the ceremony and the attendees toured the exhibition accompanying the celebration, which included unique creations and experiences that shed light on the world of learning difficulties, a display of educational tools, modern strategies, initiatives, and visual presentations. This was followed by two working papers, the first entitled “Learning through Play for Students with Learning Difficulties” presented by Dr. Reham Fahmy Abdul Rahman, Director of Educational Programs at the Human Development Center, and the second paper was titled: “The Role of Psychological Support in Improving the Performance of Students with Learning Difficulties” presented by Dr. Maha Abdul Majeed Al-Ani at the Student Counseling Center, Sultan Qaboos University.
