Ministry of Education implements Workshop on Constructing Descriptive Phrases for Humanities and Individual Skills

07/05/2025

The Ministry of Education, represented by the Educational Measurement and Evaluation Center, organized a virtual session on “Evaluation of Learning in Humanities and Individual Skills.” The session targeted ninety teachers of humanities and individual skills in the educational directorates in the governorates of “Al Sharqiyah South, Al Sharqiyah North, Al Buraimi, Al ADhahirah, and Al Batinah North.”

The event included a working paper titled "Building and Developing Descriptive Phrases for Humanities and Individual Skills," presented by Suad Al Balushi, Arabic Language Evaluation Specialist in the Humanities and Individual Skills Learning Evaluation Department. The paper addressed the justifications for building and developing descriptive phrases, their importance, specifications, and proven models in the first domain, as well as the subjects of "Islamic Education, Arabic Language, English Language, Identity and Citizenship, Social Studies, School Sports, Fine Arts, and Musical Skills," and the teams' work plan for building them in the Humanities and Individual Skills subjects. This came due to the common errors in writing descriptive phrases, and a lack of adherence to the criteria for precise formulation, which impacted the accuracy of student assessment. This required fine-tuning the writing mechanism.
