05/05/2025

The training program for measuring the return on investment in training (ROI) has begun at the Specialized Institute for Professional Training for Teachers. The program targets (36) participants from the evaluation specialists at the Specialized Institute and the training centers in the educational governorates.

The five-day program aims to enable evaluation specialists to understand the ROI methodology by learning the basic concepts and methods used to estimate and analyze the return on training programs and projects, including how to calculate costs and benefits and estimate financial return. It also aims to learn about evaluation tools: the tools and techniques needed to evaluate the results and financial impact of training programs, including the use of questionnaires, interviews, and financial data analysis. It also aims to provide practical application of the concepts and tools learned from them to real-life cases, which helps enhance the evaluation specialists' understanding and apply their new skills in a practical setting.

The Return on Investment (ROI) Measurement Program is essential for organizations seeking to improve their financial performance and maximize their investments. Participants acquire the skills necessary to measure and estimate the financial impact of various initiatives, enhancing their ability to achieve strategic objectives and increase effectiveness and efficiency within their organizations.

The training program is presented by Dr. Jack Phillips, one of the world’s most prominent experts in measuring the return on investment in training and human resources development, and the founder of the ROI Institute, which is based on the methodology he established. Phillips developed an integrated scientific methodology for measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of training programs, known as ROI, based on five levels, ranging from measuring reactions to calculating financial return. Through his numerous research and publications, which exceed (100) books, he has contributed to transforming the concept of training from a mere costly activity to a measurable and accountable investment. His methodology has been adopted by more than (500) institutions around the world, and the Ministry of Education is the first institution to adopt the methodology in the Sultanate of Oman, and the first in the Middle East in the educational field for (16) years.
