The Ministry of Education implemented a workshop titled: “The Omani-Belarusian Stories Project” for five consecutive days targeting fifteen students from grades 5 and 6 from schools of the governorates of Muscat, North Al Sharqiyah, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, and Al Dakhiliyah Governorates. The workshop took place at the Kyriad Muscat Hotel for five consecutive days.
During the five days of the training workshop, the participating students were divided into groups where each group had to work on a different script. Each script was divided into scenes and the group was to draw these scenes and receive feedback from the presenters of the training workshop, namely Muhannad Thabet Al-Aqous, a writer and trainer in children’s literature, and Basma Al-Khatri, a writer and producer of children’s programs on Oman TV.
The workshop aimed to exchange culture between students from the Sultanate of Oman and students from the Republic of Belarus, to hone the talents of students from the Sultanate of Oman in the artistic aspect, to qualify them at a global level, and to build stories and artistic paintings that reflect the depth of the Omani identity.
