The Ministry of Education launched the electronic program "Roznamah"; with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of planning and organizing educational events and activities. This program comes within the framework of keeping pace with national aspirations for digital transformation and achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040. The inauguration ceremony patronized by Dr. Said bin Saif Al Ameri, Head of the Office of HE the Minister, in the presence of a number of advisors, and directors general.

Dr. Said Al Ameri, the patronage of the event, stressed the importance of launching this program, which is a qualitative leap in the mechanism of managing events. It also comes in response to an urgent need for an integrated system that allows the registration and monitoring of educational events of all kinds in an interactive digital environment that facilitates access to information and ensures coordination of efforts between various educational divisions and entities, which enhances the effectiveness of organization and planning and contributes to improving the performance of educational activities and events to avoid duplication of work. He urged those in charge to enter data on a regular basis to ensure its continued effectiveness and achieve the desired goals.

Abdulaziz Al-Nabhani and Aisha Al-Mukhaini reviewed the details and contents of the program and touched on the stages of its establishment from its first idea until the actual launch stage, as it went through three different stages: The first stage was the study and analysis stage, through which the need to establish this program was determined, and the requirements of users from the educational directorates in the governorates and relevant authorities were collected. The second stage was the design and planning stage, in which the general vision of the program was developed, and its basic objectives were determined, and its technical structure was designed, ensuring ease of use, integration with existing systems, and preparing a clear roadmap for implementing the project according to a well-studied timetable. The third stage was the development and experimentation stage, during which the program was implemented since the beginning of last year 2024, at the level of the directorates of the Ministry's General Diwan, and then involving the educational directorates in the governorates; with the aim of testing the program and evaluating its performance, and addressing technical and educational observations; to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the system, which resulted in the development of the initial version (Prototype) of the program in cooperation with the technical teams.

The launching ceremony included a visual presentation given by Fatima Al-Awisi, Director of Information Systems Department at the Ministry, in which she reviewed the importance of the program as a technical tool for managing events, facilitating their follow-up, and providing easy access to information. She also reviewed the stages of establishing this program and its development until the actual implementation stage.

A training workshop was also included, implemented by Marwa Al-Hajri, a programmer in the Ministry’s Smart Applications Development Department, which targeted the coordinators in the offices of the two Undersecretaries of the Ministry and the offices of the Directors-General in the Ministry’s General Diwan and the educational governorates. During this workshop, she provided a detailed explanation of this program, and explained to the participants the method of entering meetings, official tasks, vacations, and various events, as well as the method of displaying and saving data.

It is worth noting that the "Roznamah" program aims to enhance the strategic planning of events and activities, ensure their integration with educational goals, and raise the efficiency of follow-up and evaluation, by providing accurate and real-time data to decision-makers, and achieving transparency and integration between various educational sectors; which contributes to improving the quality of programs and activities, in addition to providing a central platform that facilitates the follow-up and management of events for ministry officials and stakeholders with flexibility and efficiency. Through this program, the ministry seeks to build a more interactive and innovative educational system, where all activities and events are part of a dynamic educational environment that serves our goals in raising generations capable of interacting with the requirements of the future.
