The Ministry of Education, represented by the Oman School Sports Association, is participating in the Gulf Pocari Football Championship, which is being held in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period (12-15) of February, with the participation of a number of schools and sports academies.
Representing the Sultanate of Oman are Al Ishraq Basic Education School (1-4) from North Al Batinah Governorate, and Mohammed bin Jaafar Al Azkawi Basic Education School (5-10) from Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. This participating delegation is headed by Safaa bint Saif Al Salmiya, a member of the Board of Directors of the Oman School Sports Association.
The organization of this tournament by Pocari Sweet Company aims to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its establishment, select the best players from each category, and support them in a sports camp in Japan for two weeks.
On the sidelines of this tournament, an entertainment day will be organized for the participating teams, which will include a visit to the most important landmarks in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
On the other hand, the participants were divided into two categories; the first is the under the age of 10 years, which includes Winners Academy from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Hat-Trick Academy from the State of Kuwait, Al-Ishraq School from the Sultanate of Oman, and P.F.A. Academy.
The second category is the under the age of 12 and includes Mohammed bin Jaafar Al-Azkawi School from the Sultanate of Oman, Al Ain Club Academy from the United Arab Emirates, Hat-Trick Academy from the State of Kuwait, and Riffa Academy from the Kingdom of Bahrain.
