The Ministry of Education won the gold award in the 2024 Global Artificial Intelligence Competition, organized by the Dubai Quality Group, which aims to develop institutional quality systems and award prizes in the fields of institutional work at the Gulf and international levels. This came during a ceremony held in the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Said Al Maktoum, Honorary President of the Dubai Quality Group and President of the Civil Aviation Authority.

The Ministry participated in this competition with a distinguished portfolio through the Artificial Intelligence Team, which included the initiatives of the Executive Program for Artificial Intelligence in School Education and its executive plan for capacity building and employing artificial intelligence in school education, such as: preparing certified trainers in artificial intelligence and obtaining international license certificates for driving artificial intelligence, as well as training teachers, school administrations, supervisors, specialists and technicians in this field, in addition to issuing guides and policies related to the use of this technology in schools.

The portfolio also included details of the use of technological tools in this program, such as: interactive whiteboards and equipped laboratories, integrating artificial intelligence concepts into curricula, and focusing on enhancing scientific research in this field, through cooperation with the UNESCO Chair for Artificial Intelligence Research, implementing partnerships with some universities, in addition to launching the Artificial Intelligence Observatory and activating a digital awareness channel.

It is worth noting that the evaluation mechanism in the competition has several stages, including analyzing the participation portfolio and delivering a visual presentation, responding to inquiries, and providing evidence about the efforts made in using artificial intelligence within the educational process.
