Ministry of Education holds Preparatory Workshop for Implementing 2024 Projects

The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Projects and Services, implemented a preparatory workshop for the launch of the 2024 projects’ implementation, which includes the construction of (43) new school buildings in various governorates; in order to improve the educational infrastructure and provide a distinguished educational environment for school students.

The workshop included a number of working papers, the first of which came under the title: distribution of engineering teams to project packages. The second paper talked about the specifications, plans, and new developments in terms of framing opportunities, challenges, preparations, plans, specifications, and financial expenditures.

The third paper focused on ensuring the quality of implementation and supervision, by framing opportunities and challenges, alignment with the daily, weekly, and monthly report, the mechanism for verifying observations, supervision visits, appointing a design chief, an implementation chief, and a substitute for each in the event of their absence, and training engineers and technicians.

The fourth paper dealt with reports and plans by reviewing the matrix of report and plan models, the project management document (RACI), electronic forms, and alignment with quality management. The fifth paper dealt with the approval of materials, suppliers, and subcontractors, and proposed a mechanism for involving the project team in the approval, the list of approved materials on site, and the distribution of suppliers to projects.

The Directorate-General of Projects and Services aims to clarify the methodology and mechanism of project supervision, benefit from previous projects, discuss and resolve challenges that affect the supervision of project implementation, develop new mechanisms or procedures, and employ technology to facilitate their use, and come up with better executive decisions.
