The Ministry of Education, represented by the Department of Innovation and Scientific Olympiad, implemented a six-day training camp for students who qualified for the second edition of the Arab Championship for Mathematics and Logic Games, in preparation for participating in the championship, which is being held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).

During the camp days, the participating students acquired a number of skills and information that would help them compete, as they were trained on how to solve a variety of mathematical puzzles and logic questions, and how to deal with the test paper in terms of the difficulty of the questions. The training topics also included algebra, number theory, geometry, and combinations.

The importance of the championship lies in its being a periodic competition for students from member countries at the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). It seeks to create the appropriate environment to raise scientific competition among students from participating countries and contribute to enriching curricula and developing education. It aims to enhance areas of communication between students and discover their creativity in mathematics, enhance their self-confidence and the scientific abilities, talents, and creativity they possess, and direct them to invest their abilities, thus contributing to creating an aware and empowered generation.

It is worth noting that the test is conducted in one day, lasting four hours. The first half hour at the beginning of the test is allocated to students’ written inquiries. The test consists of four questions, and based on the students’ results, they are awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals.
