The Ministry of Education, represented by Directorate-General of Private Schools, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health held an awareness program on the health services for early childhood. Patronized by Dr. Mahmood Al-Abri, Assistant Director-General of the Directorate-General of Private Schools for Educational Affairs, in presence of Department Directors, Heads, and employees.
Najmah Al-Jabri, Assistant Director of the Early Education Department delivered a speech saying: “New studies have shown a connection between physical fitness and cognitive performance and that early detection of cases can aid in child supervision, for successful chances in taking care of any mental or physical troubles.”
The program showcased 8 working papers titled: Developing Early Childhood, Preschool Screening, Mental Disorders Symptoms in Children and Adolescents, Abuse and Child Negligence, Health Diet, Child Health Record, Children Rights and Disabilities, and Health Problems.
The program aims to bring awareness of early childhood developments and skills for childcare, shed light on the importance of preschool screening, mental disorders present in children and teenagers, as well as abuse and positive discipline.
