The Sultanate of Oman, represented by Ministry of Education participates in the fourth edition International Education Conference titled “Transforming Education: Opportunities and Challenges to improve Future of Education in the GCC.” The conference is held in Kuwait for two consecutive days.

The Sultanate of Oman’s delegate is headed by Dr. Said Al-Amri, Head of the Office of HE the Minister of Education, with the participation of several education officials, Their Excellencies, Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Education, education leader from the Arab Bureau of Education, and representatives from International Bureau of Education at UNESCO.

The conference discussed the orientations regarding transforming education, while mainly focusing on taking advantage of the presented opportunities to improve the education in the GCC.

The conference also discussed all the issues present in the educational field, especially the digital transformation, competencies challenges, and improving the curricles in line with the modern times.

The deliberations led to practical and educational solutions in upgrading education, ensuring the importance of the GCC countries to cooperate to exchange knowledge, and getting most advantages from the recommendation resulted from the conference.

The conference perceived many educational regional and international organizations participations such as the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO Regional Office for the Gulf States and Yemen, Regional Centre for Educational Planning, and Queen Rania Academy for Training Teachers, with multiple universities deans.

Dr. Said Al-Amri said: “The conference covered many topics regarding the objectives of education and keeping pace with the generational modern upgradation, about the teaching issues of teacher, the challenges of digital transformation, and the expanses in improving education”.
