Ministry of Education signed a cooperation agreement with Bait Al Zubair Institute, to reinforce reading skills initiatives for students across all educational directorates in the governorates. The agreement was signed by HE Dr. Abduallah bin Khamis Ambosaidi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education for Education, and Al Zubair Al-Zubair, a Member of the Board of Trustees.
Sheikh Yaqoob Al- Shuhaimi, Director-General of Student Career Guidance and Counselling Centre at Ministry of Education said: “Our vision of the cooperation between Ministry of Education and Bait Al-Zubair Institute, is launching a cultural competition to show off the reading skills of the school society”.
He added: “We want to support and improve the skills based on one of Oman Vision 2040 aims which is “creating a creative and proud human being at the same time.”
Dr. Muna Hebras, Director-General of Bait Al-Zubair Institute said: “The cooperation is significate to celebrate the talents in our schools and see student’s creations. We are determined to make this competition an opportunity for everyone to show the world their talents”.
It should be noted that the school reading competition is one of the initiatives that adds value to education, since its first tournament in 2017 in supporting Arabic Language reading in schools.
