HE Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniya, Minister of Education, met with HE Jamal bin Hassan Al Mousawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum, in the presence of Dr. Said Al Amri, Head of the Minister’s Office, Dr. Ali Al Shukaili, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Education in Muscat Governorate, Dr. Sheikha Al Shaabi, Assistant Director-General for Educational Affairs, and Thuraya Al Habsi, Headmaster of Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School in Seeb, at the Ministry’s General Diwan.
During the meeting, the original letter of Her Highness the wife of His Majesty the Sultan was handed over, which she recorded during her visit to the Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School (5-6), on Thursday, the seventeenth of October, to review the educational and teaching efforts, and to meet with the teaching staff and students at the school, coinciding with the celebration of Omani Women’s Day.
In her letter to the school, Her Highness referred to the efforts made by the school to advance the educational process, and develop the skills and abilities of students, in addition to the school’s societal roles in spreading awareness, values, and good behaviors that benefit all segments of society. Her Highness also stressed the importance of improving the quality of education in the Sultanate of Oman, wishing the school every success in achieving its goals and noble aspirations in accordance with the vision of His Majesty the Sultan.
The Director-General of the Directorate-General of Education in Muscat Governorate said: “Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School was honored by the generous visit of HH the honorable lady which is a motivation for the school education sector, and a solid educational message that will motivate workers in the educational sector in all educational departments in the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman to exert more effort and diligence in order to achieve the ambitious educational goals that elevate our dear country.”
The Headmaster of Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School stated: “Her Highness’s visit to the school is a historic visit as it coincided with the celebration of Omani Women’s Day. Her Highness’s visit is evidence of Her Highness’s interest in education and learning about the reality of education in the Sultanate of Oman. There is no doubt that this visit will be an incentive to exert more efforts to advance the educational process in all its aspects. Her speech in the dialogue session emphasized the importance of instilling values, customs, traditions, and Omani character in the youth.”
