The Sultanate of Oman participates in Promoting Values ​​of Tolerance in Educational Institutions Forum in Bahrain

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Education, “Directorate-General of Curriculum Development - Departments” participated in the forum for promoting values ​​of tolerance and acceptance of others in educational institutions, which was organized by the Arab Center for Educational Research for the Gulf States in Manama, the capital ofthe Kingdom of Bahrain.

Attended the forum a number of educational officials and specialists in the field of developing educational curricula and teaching social studies and national education in the ministries of education in the member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (the Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Republic of Yemen, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the State of Qatar), as well as a number of experts and academics specializing in the forum’s themes, and educational experts at the Arab Center for Educational Research for the Gulf States.

The forum comes to shed light on the importance of the values of tolerance and acceptance of others in promoting peace, social coexistence, and national unity in the Gulf States, and to highlight the role of educational and media institutions in this regard. The forum also aims to build stable and safe societies, and to introduce the reference guide, its contents and objectives regarding educating students about these values, and to explore ways to benefit from it. This forum also discussed options and alternatives to activate the role of media in spreading the values ​​of coexistence and rejecting fanaticism and hatred, in addition to exchanging knowledge, experiences and successful practices between educational specialists in the member states in this field.
