Issue 67 of the Omani Scouting Magazine Released

The Directorate-General of Scouts and Guides at the Ministry of Education released issue number 67 of the Omani Scouting Magazine in both Arabic and English, filled with scouting and guiding news and topics.

The issue starts with an editorial by Dr. Yaqoub Al Nadabi, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Scouts and Guides, entitled (Oman Scouts and Guides:Exploration Trips and Distinctive Programs), in which he explained the importance of the renewed partnership between the Directorate-General of Scouts and Guides and the Oman Challenge Foundation, the design and implementation of programs and activities that contribute to instilling the traits of resilience, behaviors, ethics and skills, and enhancing leadership aspects and teamwork among participating students, and raising levels of student confidence in their abilities to communicate and accomplish tasks. The issue includes two articles, as well as a detailed report on traditions in the Scout and Guide movement and a report on the role of the wireless communications and internet team in empowering youth and supporting innovative programs. The issue also includes a reading of one of the scouting books titled (The Role of School Administration in Developing the Activities of the Scouting and Guiding Unit) by the writer Adel Al Maashari, which addresses the concept and characteristics of school administration and the prominent role of school administration in developing the activities of the Scouting and Guiding Unit.

The issue also includes an interview with Dr. Hani Abdel Wahab, the Regional Director and Secretary-General of the Arab Scout Organization. The issue also holds a range of news releases from the Directorate, rovers, teams, and commissions; and an interview with the lawyer and scout leader Walid Al-Zadjali, in which he emphasized the role of scouting in promoting values ​​and principles and exchanging experiences and cultures. The issue includes a report on the role and goals of the scouting and guiding movement in achieving sustainable development goals. Moreover, the issue reviews some statistics and figures on the total number of beneficiaries of programs and activities and the number of local events, activities and events and external events during the first half of 2024.

The issue includes a scenario (Diary of a Cub and a Flower) which dealt with the use of artificial intelligence. It also includes two important topics: a report on the Scout Band and a report on the Buds stage in the Sultanate of Oman. The magazine concludes with a report on the Kander StageInternational Scout Center, which is a permanent global Scout center in the heart of the Swiss Alps that brings together Scouts from different countries in an environment that promotes international cooperation and cross-cultural learning.
