Ministry of Education Participates in the 4th World Conference on Physics Education (4th WCPE)

The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Educational Supervision, is participating with a delegation in the 4th World Conference on Physics Education (4th WCPE), under the title "Together for Embracing Change". The delegation includes 6 of the senior supervisors in the Ministry's General Diwan, and supervisors and teachers from the educational directorates in the governorates of "Al ADhahirah, South Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, and North Al Sharqiyah" in the field of teaching physics. The conference is organized by international scientific bodies related to physics and those interested in teaching and researching it and continues until the 30th of this month. The conference targets different categories of those interested in teaching physics, starting from the primary stage to researchers in the doctoral stage, held at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.

The conference includes several topics: physics curricula, competency-based education, teaching and learning its concepts, multimedia, augmented reality, virtual reality and technology, distance education, experiments and practical performance in teaching physics, evaluating student learning, preparing its teachers and their professional growth, its role in environmental and societal issues, contemporary physics in schools and universities, in STEM education, identity and belonging, community work and physics. The conference includes main sessions, workshops, and scientific posters in physics.

The conference aims to bring together those interested in physics education from different educational levels from different countries of the world to discuss the different trends, developments, and challenges related to physics education in the fast-paced world to reach a common and broader understanding of the education of young people and society in general.
