Minister of Education receives the British Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman
HE Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniya, Minister of Education, received this morning (Monday) HE Dr. Lianne Saunders, the UK Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, and her accompanying delegation, in the presence of a number of ministry officials.
During the meeting, areas of joint cooperation in educational aspects were reviewed, as well as ways of strengthening relations between the two countries, in addition to reviewing the joint bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom in the fields of education, and the programs and initiatives provided by the British Council for the teaching staff and students in studying the English language.
The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries and the keenness to enhance and expand the scope of this cooperation. HE the Ambassador thanked the Ministry of Education for its support and provision of educational services to the British community in the Sultanate of Oman.
