Ministry of Education organizes a Virtual Meeting on Life Skills Subject

The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Educational Supervision, “Humanities Supervision Department,” organized a virtual meeting for the life skills subject, which targeted one hundred senior supervisors in educational directorates in the governorate, via video communication on Teams platform.

The meeting included the presentation of two papers. The first paper was entitled “The Creativity Imprint in the World of Life Skills Initiative,” presented by Fatima Al Nuaimi, a life skills teacher at Sa’raa School for Basic Education (5-9) in Al Buraimi Governorate. The paper touched on the idea of the initiative, its goals, its importance, and the scientific background and theoretical literature in its preparation, its results, its future vision, and examples of dialogue texts for the life skills subject. The second paper entitled “I develop my life skills with modern technical sources” presented by Fatima Al-Kalbani, a life skills teacher at the Hafeet School for Basic Education (1-12) in Al Buraimi Governorate. The paper discussed the initiative’s connection to Oman Vision 2040, its idea, goals, applications, and artificial intelligence technologies.

The meeting aims to benefit from the applications of artificial intelligence, how to employ it in the educational process, design and implement modern and most effective learning strategies in our current era, develop students’ skills in using modern technologies and applications of artificial intelligence, enhance their capabilities for research and self-learning, and motivate teachers to diversify their teaching methods and good use of technology.
