The Sultanate of Oman participates in the UNESCO World Conference on Culture and Arts Education in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, and Sultan Qaboos University, participate in the World Conference on Culture and Arts Education, which is organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) during (February 13-15) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in the presence of representatives Member States of UNESCO in the sectors of education, culture and arts. The conference aims to adopt a global framework for culture and arts education to support member states in integrating culture and arts education into relevant policies, strategies and programs at the national level.

 

 

 

 

The conference includes sessions and ministerial panel discussions focused on equitable access to culture and arts education, quality of learning and the importance of lifelong learning, skills needed to shape a resilient and sustainable future, institutionalization and utilization of systems for culture and arts education, and a theme on culture, arts and education through digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and building partnerships to support culture and arts education. The conference also includes events on empowering children and families as cultural producers in art museums, integrating intangible cultural heritage into education, developing cooperation and exchanging practices for a sustainable and shared future.
