The Indian School in Seeb qualified for the finals of the Pocari Sweat School Football Championship for grades (2-4) after their victory in the final match over the Indian School Darsait on penalties with a score of 5/4, and the two halves of the match ended in a goalless draw, in a match that witnessed excitement and many opportunities from both sides that were not translated to goals.
The final match was held under the patronage of Ishaq Al Rawahi, Assistant Director of the Budget Department, and in the presence of Fahad Al Mashaikhi, Secretary General of the Omani School Sports Association, a number of representatives of the Association’s sports committees, and an audience from the two schools. The qualifiers were held at the Sultan Qaboos Complex, organized by the Omani School Sports Association, in cooperation with the Muscat Stores and Pharmacy LLC brand (Pocari Sweat).
After the end of the match, the patronage of the event honored the winners. The players from the Indian School in Darsait received silver medals and the second-place cup, while the players from the Indian School Seeb Branch received gold medals and the championship cup.
It is worth noting that the Indian School Seeb team will participate in the finals that will be held at Cheltenham School Muscat during the period from 11-15 February, with the presence of schools from Musandam, Buraimi, Al Wusta, South Al Batinah, North Al Sharqiyah and Al ADhahirah, in addition to Cheltenham School Muscat, hosting the tournament.
