The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Educational Supervision, continued the virtual implementation of the third phase of the induction program for new teachers. The five-days program targeted (5723) new Omani teachers, and (966) new non-Omani teachers.
In its third phase, this induction program focused on teachers and developing their performance being the basic pillar of the educational process who play a prominent role in providing students with knowledge, skills, experiences and refine their personalities inside and outside the classroom. This program also helps teachers to be influential in all inputs to the educational system, and effective and creative in using new teaching methods in various fields of specializations to improve learning opportunities for all students in their classrooms.
This induction program also aims to empower new teachers, support their professional growth in the learning and teaching processes, and provide them with knowledge, attitudes, and job skills to prepare them to practice the learning and teaching processes. The program also aims to introduce teachers to the educational developments in the education system, in addition to making them aware of the educational projects applied at the level of the ministry and the educational field, and to empower them with methods and ways of teaching academic subjects. The implementation of this program is supervised by a number of senior supervisors and supervisors in the Directorate-General of Educational Supervision at the Ministry’s General Diwan, and the educational directorates in the governorates
