The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate General of Planning and Strategic Development - Educational Needs Planning Department, organized the annual meeting to discuss the school formation plan for the academic year 2024/2025, in presence of specialists from the planning and development departments of the educational directorates in the governorates, which will last for a month, at the Kyriad Muscat Hotel.

The meeting included discussion sessions of several topics, including: discussing the formations form and how to develop it, updating the data, the focus of school requests and the way to deal with them in relation to school building, as well as discussing the approved solutions and alternatives to confront the growth of students in schools, and presenting Some successful experiences in educational directorates in the governorates: To benefit from it in other directorates.

The meeting also included a presentation on the development of school formations  and the principles adopted. After that, each directorate worked in groups separately, to discuss the school formations plan according to the established principles, such as the availability of school buildings, the student density, and operating new school buildings.
