Virtual Meeting on Supervision Practices Impact on Academic Achievement
The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Educational Supervision, organized a virtual meeting under the title “Impact of Supervision practices on the Academic Achievement.” The meeting targeted seventeen senior supervisors of Geography subject in the educational directorates in the governorates.
The meeting program began with a speech by Darwish Al-Kayoumi, Director of the Department, in which he touched on the importance of such educational meetings between members of central supervision and their counterparts in the governorate, especially with regard to analyzing and discussing the results of academic achievement in social studies subjects, and the extent to which they are reflected in improving the educational process. Members of the Geography Supervision Unit in the department presented a paper addressed the justifications for interest in academic achievement, the reality of its results for the subjects of economic geography and social studies for grades 5-11, its indicators for the subjects of geography and modern technologies, and “Hadha Watani” for the grade 12, and the methodology for building a support plan to improve Achievement level.
