The Ministry of Education, represented by the Department of Innovation and Scientific Olympiads, in cooperation with Oman Shell, continues yesterday (Sunday) morning to implement the Shell NXplorers training program. The two-days program targets five teachers supervising the program and took place at the Kidscity company center in Mall of Oman.

The training program, presented by trainers from KidCity, includes carrying out activities using the program’s tools, such as exploration, which is identifying the problem, selecting the appropriate text to solve it, employing the Links Circle tool to identify the causes of the problem, and the factors affecting it. The program also employs future thinking skills, and the scenario planning tool to come up with better future ideas, and filtering ideas to find the best options that suit the needs of the problem. The program also uses the consequences exploration tool to search for direct and indirect effects of the idea that was arrived at in the ideas filtering stage, ending with the persuasion pyramid that aims to provide evidence and data to communicate required ideas and presentation.

The training program aims to increase awareness among teachers and students in the fields of creativity and innovation, enhance the concepts of global sustainability goals, and motivate students to make positive change in society in the areas of energy, water, and food.
