The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Administrative Affairs – Office of Individual Performance System Management – carried yesterday morning (Monday) an explanatory meeting on the methodology of work of functional competencies laboratories for specialists in some functional groups. The meeting took place at Khasab Hall at the Ministry’s General Diwan.

The meeting comes to discuss and clarify the methodology and mechanism of work in the competency laboratories to be set with the central team at the Ministry of Labor in partnership with other government units according to a specific time frame, with the aim of enabling those targeted in the laboratory to share their experiences in the specialized, cognitive, skillful and behavioral aspects in an effort to unify job competencies among the various groups of similar jobs in the country.

The implementation of the competencies’ laboratory comes within the framework of the National Framework for Job Competencies in cooperation with the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit and other government agencies, which includes a set of knowledge and behavioral skills required to be available and enhanced among occupants of supervisory and non-supervisory positions in the units of the state administrative apparatus in the Sultanate of Oman.
