The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Private Schools, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, has launched new electronic services through the Invest Easy portal in the private school education sector, with the aim of accelerating the delivery of services and facilitating the conduct of commercial activities in order to improve the competitiveness of the Sultanate of Oman in the business environment index.
The services that have been activated on the platform include a request to establish a private school for early education (kindergarten), a private school for early education (the Holy Qur’an), a private school, a private international school, and a foreign school (for communities). Dr. Khadija Al-Salami, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Private Schools at the Ministry of Education, explained that the launch of education sector services through the Invest Easy portal will have a great impact on accelerating and facilitating investment in the field of private school education, as the project has gone through many challenges, which were overcome by the efforts of all in order to reach the provision of services in line with the Oman Vision 2040, and to meet the aspirations and ambitions of investors inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman. Dr. Al-Salami also confirmed that the services will contribute to the provision of licensing data, their accuracy, speed, and facilitation of procedures, as well as clarity of transaction completion paths for investors, and the ease of tracking the application path, in addition to the integration of licenses with the relevant authorities to establish a private school. She also expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by all those in charge of the digital transformation project at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and their continuous cooperation, which had the most prominent role in the success of this project.
Mubarak Al-Dohani, Director-General of Commerce at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, said: “The launch of these services comes within the framework of the national government digital transformation program and within the framework of the comprehensive development of services provided by the ministry in cooperation with government agencies, and to
complement the link with other government agencies and transform all services into Electronic services to improve and facilitate the business environment, and apply international best practices, in addition to enhancing the Sultanate of Oman’s international indicators regarding the ease of starting a business. He also added that the launch of services in the education sector will contribute to the start of business and make it easier for investors to complete their transactions electronically through self-service, or service-providing offices, adding that the Invest Easy portal is linked to 32 entities in data exchange, and 17 government agencies in Licensing field.
