Students of the Sultanate participate in the Post School Enrichment Program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

A number of students from the Sultanate’s schools participated in the post-school enrichment program provided by the Mawhiba Foundation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and supported by the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States.
-school enrichment program is offered virtually and made available to students nominated from Member States through the e-learning platform for a period of nine (9) weeks, with four hours per training day and a total of 36 training hours.

The program includes three scientific enrichment tracks, namely: the future engineer, the future doctor, and the future programmer, all of which enrich knowledge, raise competence and readiness, and build scientific and practical experiences for gifted students. Students choose the track they wish to join according to their interests and desires, and a number of (9) students from the Sultanate’s schools participated, with three students in each track.

The program aimed to provide a scientific and enriching environment that enables students to socialize with their talented peers in the same age group and helps them discover scientific fields to build future goals. It provides an opportunity to enhance students' cognitive experiences, deepen their level of knowledge, expand their mental and cognitive perceptions, open horizons for building them, develop gifted students' self-confidence, continue supporting gifted students and raise the level of their knowledge, and develop gifted students' skills in problem-solving, critical, and creative thinking, and higher thinking skills.

Retaj bint Ahmed Al Balushi, students at Umm Kulthum Bint Uqba School (5-9) in Al Batinah South Governorate, said: “My participation in the enrichment program (Mawhiba), specifically in the (Future Doctor) unit, added a lot of scientific information regarding the organs and systems of the human body in detail, and everything that it is related to the senses. In addition, this experience raised my self-confidence level as it enriches the student of knowledge with the greatest amount of knowledge and information that is beneficial in the various aspects of life.”

Al-Azhar bin Abdul Jalil Al-Bahri, student at Al-Numan bin Bashir School (5-7) in Al-Batinah South Governorate, said: “I had an interesting experience in the world of engineering and discovered points I did not know previously, such as the law of density and acceleration, the idea of building bridges, the ingenuity of their design, and Newton’s laws. The experience increased my love of knowledge in the world of engineering and knowledge of important ideas in dealing with our daily lives.”
