Education implements TAMAM Oman Project for Leaders in Research and Development at the School Level

The Ministry of Education, represented by the Office of the Undersecretary for Education, implemented the TAMAM Oman Laboratory, headed by HE Professor Dr. Abdullah Ambosaidi, Undersecretary for Education. The laboratory targeted the supervisors of the School Administration Unit, the administrations of TAMAM schools, and active members of the TAMAM teams, in the process of launching the stage of the TAMAM Oman gathering, which is a clear framework for the continuity of the project in the Sultanate of Oman in all its details, and building a deep understanding of school development according to the Omani context based on the recommendations of the previous evaluative study of the project, The idea of implementing the TAMAM Oman Laboratory came to work on institutionalizing the TAMAM project in the Ministry, and to work on the project’s structure, requirements, and the mechanism for its future implementation.

The laboratory began with presenting the strategic directions of the TAMAM project presented by Dr. Ali Al-Balushi, Director of the Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Sultan Qaboos University and a trainer in the TAMAM project. Then Dr. Hajar Al-Saadi, Assistant Director of the School Administration Supervision Department presented a proposal for TAMAM institutionalization, and the teams worked in brainstorming groups on the themes of the laboratory, which is represented in the structure of the project, the requirements and the mechanism for its implementation, and the work was managed in the teams by Khaled Al-Bassami, Assistant Director in the Office of the Undersecretary for Education. At the end of the laboratory, Professor Maryam Al-Mashrafi, a senior educational researcher in the Office of the Undersecretary for Education, presented the recommendations.

The Ministry seeks, through the TAMAM Oman gathering, to prepare and develop leaders in research and development at the school level in the Sultanate of Oman, and to provide a deep understanding of how the process of sustainable school development takes place in the Omani context, and to activate community partnership in education through project support from the government and the private sectors, as well as the various civil society organizations.
