Education participates in Adapting English Language Series Training Program in Lebanon

The Ministry of Education, represented the Team of Adapting English Language Series for grades (1-4) in the Department of Human Sciences Curriculum Development, participated in the training program for adapting English language series held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, last week (20 -24 February). The training program came within the framework of the ministry's readiness to apply the global series of English language for grades (5-8).

The training program provided by the British company (Garnet) included several themes including: the experiences of some Arab and foreign countries in selecting and harmonizing global chains, models of mechanisms and methods for harmonizing global chains, and mechanisms for including future skills, modern educational evaluation methods and online teaching in global chains, as well as how educational companies respond to meet the requirements of entities wishing to apply global chains with the harmonization and mechanisms of analyzing the standards or requirements of these entities.

On the sidelines of the training program, the members of the participating team met with a number of specialists in English language curricula (authors, editors, and trainers) from the British company (Garnet). The team also met with a number of curricula specialists in the Lebanese Republic and the Republic of Iraq to review the educational chains of the subject applied and to get acquainted with the work mechanisms of the technical team in charge of selecting and harmonizing the international chains of the English language, in addition to identifying the learning resources that support the curricula and educational projects related to teaching the English language, and to discuss ways of cooperation in between.
