The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Teaching Innovations Team for teachers of the Sultanate of Oman and the Scholar Foundation for Educational and Human Sciences, organized  a training forum for modern education techniques between innovation and values under the slogan “Innovation Skills and Promotion of Values”, under the patronage of the Honorable Dr. Hamad bin Suleiman Al Salmi, Member of the State Council. The forum took place at Levato Hotel Muscat.

The training forum targeted (80) participants from teachers, university professors, and students at the College of Education. It aimed to empower teachers in some aspects of teaching techniques and learning strategies, promote educational values as an important part of modern education, train them in educational games and appropriate classroom atmosphere, and empower educational leadership with its skill and value aspects among officials, in addition to supporting educational partnership between teams and institutions locally and internationally.

The forum began with a speech delivered by the representative of the Teaching Innovations Team for teachers of the Sultanate of Oman, Ahlam Al-Hamdani, in which she said: “The forum of modern education technologies between innovation and values comes to enhance the importance of keeping pace with the leading technology in education as well as pay attention to the instinct of values between its sides, and on this day we work hard in the course of our journey to learn about amazing details in ChatGPT for artificial intelligence from an educational portal and the world of cubes that will take us to the world of reality, technology and values at the same moment.”

The head of the Scholar Foundation for Humanities and Educational Sciences, Professor Dr. Murad Abdullah, presented the Foundation's speech in which he said: “It is a great pleasure for the Scholar Foundation to have its first activities in the

Sultanate of Oman through the provision of an intensive training program in cooperation with the Teaching Innovations Team for the teachers of the Sultanate of Oman, as Scholar has been organizing international and global conferences with European, Turkish and Arab universities, in which the Sultanate of Oman had prominent contributions through which we were able to consolidate academic and scientific partnerships that is being crowned with success today.”

The forum included a discussion of (4) main themes, namely: teaching methods and educational technology, the system of values, educational games, and educational leadership. The international trainer Said Al Kalbani, PhD researcher in education, presented a paper on "employing ChatGPT" in education, in which he discussed the concept of "ChatGPT" and its relationship to the GPT paradigm, real methods and techniques for chatting with ChatGPT, and applications of ChatGPT in professional development and education inside and outside the classroom. Whereas the international trainer and doctoral researcher in the philosophy of education, Zwaina Al-Ghawi, presented the second paper entitled “Cubes in Education and the (2 in 1) process in teaching, in which she discussed cubes from the perspective of teaching methods: sensory tools and exercises for various disciplines, and cubes from a technical perspective: exercises using various technical programs, and "2-in-1 blocks: work technically and answer manually" approach.
