Ministry of Education signs Two Cooperation Agreements to Establish Two Science Laboratories and an Integrated Sports Hall
The Ministry of Education signed this morning (Tuesday) two cooperation agreements with the Petroleum Development Oman Company. The first agreement came to finance science laboratory project in Abu Madabi School for Basic Education (1-12) in the Wilayat of Haima, and Al-Shumookh School for Basic Education (1-12) in the Wilayat of Duqm, in the educational directorate of Al-Wusta Governorate. The second agreement came to finance the construction of a closed and integrated sports hall at Al-Mawred School for Basic Education (1-12) in the Wilayat of Adam, in the educational directorate of Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate.
From the Ministry’s part, Dr. Salim Al-Maashani, Advisor to the Minister for School Buildings Affairs, signed the agreements with Eng. Abdul Amir Al Ajmi, Executive Director of Foreign Affairs and Added Value from the Petroleum Development Oman side. The Signing of the agreements took place at the company’s headquarters in Mina Al Fahal.
The establishment of these two projects stems from the Ministry's endeavor, in cooperation with the company, to provide a suitable educational environment for students, by completing the school environment with its basic educational facilities that serve the school curricula. More than 1,000 students in these three schools will benefit from these facilities.
