The Indian School team, Al-Ghubra branch, was crowned first in the Pocari Sweat International Schools tournament, after their victory over the Indian School team, Darsait branch, with two clean goals. The qualifiers were held at the French International School Muscat, and were organized by the Omani Sports Association in cooperation with Pocari Sweat. The tournament witnessed the participation of (6) International schools targeting students in grades (2-4).
The closing ceremony of the tournament was held under the patronage of Waleed bin Khalid Al-Rashdi, Director of the Office of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education, in the presence of Fahd bin Khalfan Al-Mashaikhi, Secretary of the Omani School Sports Association, and Yousef bin Awad Beit Salim, Chairman of the Technical Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of the Omani School Sports Association, and Safaa bint Saif Al-Salmi, Member of the Board of Directors of the Omani Association for School Sports, and a number of fans from the communities that added a different atmosphere to the qualifying final.
At the end of the ceremony, the patronage of the ceremony honored the participating schools, judges, and partners, after the Indian School Darsait, was honored with silver medals and the second-place cup, and the Indian School Al-Ghubra, won the championship cup and gold medals.
With the end of the qualifiers, Indian School Al Ghubrah, is qualifed for the finals, which will be held in January, with the participation of (8) schools representing the governorates of Muscat, Dhofar, North Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, South Al Sharqiyah, in addition to the international schools.
