The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Educational Supervision, implemented training program on “Dealing with Students Cases in the Government and Private School” in Holiday Inn Muscat for three consecutive Days.

The program is organized by the Student Affairs Sup-Department of the School Administration Supervision Department at the Directorate-General of Educational Supervision in cooperation with the Training and Rehabilitation Department. It is the first training program for heads of student affairs departments in the educational directorates in the governorates and members of student affairs departments. The organizers and participants in it seek to present information related to the fields of student affairs in a theoretical and practical form, emphasizing the roles and tasks assigned to the members of the student affairs departments by activating their specializations, identifying the procedures for student affairs operations, and the mechanism of enabling the role of specialists in the areas of social and psychological guidance in the list of student affairs, and to discuss how to diagnose student cases within the determinants of the student affairs list.

The program aims to introduce the participants to advanced methods in the application of student affairs bylaws and regulations, and to enable them to apply student affairs forms accurately, and to use student affairs applications and tools in the educational portal system.

On the importance of the program, Ali Al-Hussaini, Head of the Student Affairs Department in the School Administration Supervision Department, said: “The importance of establishing this program lies in introducing the heads of student affairs departments to the mechanism of dealing with student cases represented in the registration and transfer of students, re-registration, and follow-up on the regularity and discipline of students.”
