The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Strategic Planning and Development – Quality Department – organized an introductory meeting on the European Excellence Model from the European Foundation for Quality Management EFQM, targeting "60" participants of the directorate's employees. The meeting took place in the Khasab hall in the Ministry's General Diwan yesterday (Monday) morning.
The meeting aims to introduce the European Excellence Model and RADAR, the most important criteria and items included in the model intended by the logic of RADAR, and the way it is applied in the Directorate-General of Strategic Planning and Development.
The meeting included a paper entitled "Using the European Excellence Model and RADAR" presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Shuaili, Assistant Director of the Quality Department at the Directorate-General of Strategic Planning and Development, and Dr. Rashid Al-Alawi, Senior Quality Specialist at the Directorate-General of Educational Supervision. The paper addressed the use of the European Excellence Model and RADAR, how its criteria work with the RADAR methodology, the logic of RADAR, its advantages over other optimization models, trend analysis, implementation and outcomes, and other possible uses of EFQM and RADAR, a model for using EFQM and RADAR. The meeting also included individual training, followed with discussion with the attendees.
