The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Strategic Planning and Development "Department of Statistics and Information", organized yesterday morning, "Wednesday", an event on the occasion of the International Day of Statistics, which falls on the 20th of October every year, in the presence of Rahma Al Mahrouqi, Director of the Department of Statistics and Information, Heads of Departments and their staff, at Suhar Hall in the Ministry's General Diwan.

The event included the presentation of five papers, the first was titled “Phone Application: Our Locations” presented by Ahmed Al Amri, Head of Department of Geographic Systems at the Department of Statistics and Information. The second paper was titled “Role of Statistics in Geographic Information Systems” presented by Suleiman Al Hashmi, Geographic Information Systems Specialist at the Department of Geographical Systems. The third paper came on the topic of ArcGIS Enterprise program and was presented by Hamad Al Subhi, Second Specialist of Geographic Information Systems at the Department of Geographic Systems. The fourth paper was titled “Phone Applications: Statistics and Indicators” presented by Hasan Al Lawati, Senior Statistician at the Statistics and Information Department at the Department of Statistics and Information. The fifth and final paper covered the topic of “POWERBI Prgram” and was presented by Fatima Al Mukhaini, A second Statistician at the Department of Educational Indicators.
