Ministry of Education organizes Virtual Educational Forum "Towards Sustainable Blended Education"

The Ministry of Education is hosting the first virtual educational forum under the title “Towards Sustainable Blended Education” next Tuesday. The virtual forum is organized under the patronage of HE Majid bin Said Al Bahri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, with the presence of HE Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Khamis Ambosaidi, Undersecretary for Education. The forum is targeting a number of teachers of different educational levels from all educational directorates in the governorates of the Sultanate. It is planned to continue for two consecutive days.

The Ministry, through this forum, seeks to highlight efforts and review the distinguished initiatives of teachers from various government schools, which had a positive impact on the continuation of learning (distance) and the interaction between the parties to the educational process. The forum aims at defining the requirements for implementing these initiatives, identifying their results, and reviewing the distinct models in order to benefit from them. It also seeks to motivate teachers to develop their educational methods in line with the stage of distance learning and blended learning. In addition, the forum seeks to popularize the application of these distinguished initiatives, and publish them in Gulf, regional and international forums and conferences. It aims to spread the culture the digital transformation in learning by employing information and communication technology in the educational process. It also aims to enable other teachers to adopt and develop the participating initiatives, while preserving their rights to the initiator teacher.

In its first round, this virtual educational forum is covering address five main topic. These topics are “Effective application of simultaneous lessons,” “Effective application of the merging between simultaneous and asynchronous classes,” “Effective application of electronic evaluation methods,” “Increasing students’ motivation in distance learning,” and "Production and application of interactive lessons in educational platforms."
