The second edition of the Omantel Olymics for Coding concluded today, which implemented by Ministry of Education in cooperation with Omantel during the period 28 and 29 December.

Dr Maya Said Al Azri, Director of Innovation and Scientific Olympiad at the Ministry of Education, commented “Omantel is one of the companies that provides a distinguished experience in social responsibility programs by investing in youth and support MOE in enhancing students’ experience by participating in international programs, learning from others experience in digital field and supports the Sultanate’s efforts in digital transformation by preparing a generation capable of innovation, development and employment of technology in various aspects of life”.

Laila al Wahaibi, CSR Manager at Omantel, said “Education is one of the main pillars of Omantel's social responsibility programs, which aim to empower students, develop their technical skills, raise their technical level to enable them to participate and contribute in the digital transformation process of the Sultanate and raise awareness of the importance of technology in development and innovation. In addition, Omantel aims to discover talented students who will together form a national team that can participate in international programming competitions”.
