The Ministry of Education, represented by a projects committee at the Directorate General of Education in Al Sharqiyah South received the new building of the Al-Imam Al-Salt Bin Al-Qasim Al-Kharousi Boys School in the Wilayat of Sur for grades (5-10) which located in Abu Qala area in Sur.

In addition to that, it took (660) days to build the school. The new school building consists of three floors, thirty classrooms, a class for learning difficulties, five teachers' rooms, seven administration offices and two-computer rooms. Moreover, the school has two computer rooms, two science laboratories with their full equipment, one room for learning resources, a multi-purpose room, and a room for career guidance, a room for art activities, a room for musical activities, and the school. Also, the building includes eight stores, electric elevators, a canteen, a room for the guard, a drivers room, in addition to a trilateral playground for basketball, plane, hand, and football field. The building was also equipped with a fire control system in accordance with the specifications of the General Civil Defense Authority.
