A scientific symposium about Abu Muslim Al Bahlani in North Al Batina Directorate
Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammad Al Nadabi, Secretary General of Shura Council, with presence of Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Director General of Directorate General of Education in North Al Batinah Governorate, Directorate General of Education in North Al Batinah represented by Human Resources Development Department, Islamic Education Department, organized a scientific symposium entitled “Sheikh Abu Muslim Al-Bahlani and his local and global impact” in Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Sohar.
The event aimed to highlight his works, personality, values and highlight the Omani role in providing human civilization with such characters.
The program of the symposium included the two scientific sessions; the first addressed “the scientific movement in Zanzibar and its impact during the era of Sheikh Abu Muslim Al-Bahlani”. The second session entitled “Critical Reading in the Literature of Sheikh Abu Muslim Al-Bahlani”.
The symposium concluded with a number of recommendations presented during the session by Dr. Nabil Al-Abri, included: organize an expanded seminar about the book “Nathhar Al-Jawhar” by Sheikh Abu Muslim Al-Bahlani, make a comprehensive scientific encyclopedia about places, scholars and authors during the time of the Arabs in East Africa.
The symposium also recommended preparing an enrichment booklet for schools in order to introduce students to the personality of Sheikh Abu Muslim Al-Bahlani and his scientific and educational efforts.
