The Ministry of Education, represented by Electronic Information Security Department, implemented yesterday morning a workshop "Security Hour Initiative: Awareness of Security Policies", in Khasab Hall at the Ministry's cabinet.
The workshop aimed to raise the level of information security in the field of information security for the Ministry’s employees and to secure the work environment from various security incidents in various aspects of daily work.
The workshop included a presentation by Talal bin Salem Al-Khanbashi, an information security specialist in the Information Security Department, in which he discussed the basic concepts of information security and its role in studying weaknesses in the systems, procedures and providing appropriate protection for it.
He presented also examples of business requirements, internal and external threats, and defined attendees on the role of the electronic information security department in security policies.
Finally, Talal Al-Khanbashi emphasized on the importance of preserving the integrity of information in our daily life, especially when we use mobile devices. There are some electronic crimes such as electronic blackmail and electronic bullying via social media.
